At any time in our life we can look back and know that, where we are is a result of the decisions we have made in the past. And if we completely let go of our ego we can realize that even the stuff we felt we had no control over was still, within our control. Maybe not the circumstances but our short-term and long-term reaction(s).

But no one said it was easy. It’s hard to be totally honest with yourself, especially when it might feel a little uncomfortable and maybe even embarrassing. But don’t worry, you’re alone with your thoughts.

When I stopped using blame as a go-to excuse for why I wasn’t happy I eventually started to feel liberated from my own mind and ego and my biggest revelation was that, ‘It really is up to me!’ I got it! I understand now.

And when we feel good we want to share it, right? You feel like you want to tell the world! After all, we all really only seek happiness. And it is our birthright as far as I’m concerned and deep down don’t we all want to make others happy? It is true that the greatest source of happiness is in making others happy.

Having a bad day? Help someone else with their problems. You will either figure out an answer to your own or make someone feel so good after having felt like hell, that will make you feel good and you’ll forget all about what upset you in the first place.

Maybe some day there will be less ego in our collective mind. Contentment and happiness will be able to prevail and with that, a naturally occurring sustainability that will benefit humankind for the future near and far.
